A League Cycling Instructor Certification (LCI) Seminar was held at the Piedmont Triad COG offices in 2009, where 15 new LCIs learned the A to Zs of bicycle education and effective teaching skills. The League Cycling Instructor program is part of the League of American Bicyclist's Education Program. The Piedmont Triad Council of Government has several employees that are members of the League and two LCIs.
